The context – In March 2020, at the start of the health crisis, the Enterprise Management of a major French group with 10,000 employees faced the paradox of having to keep in touch with its employees while coordinating the crisis from home.
The challenge – We had planned an eleven-date national road-show for managers, but the health crisis should have forced us to postpone it. However, the director insisted on creating innovative support, and we responded to his challenge.
Relations setup – Initially, a series of digital seminars enabled the renewal of an adapted, agile strategy to deal with the situation. Thanks to a revolutionary digital tool, Toguna, this strategy was then put to the test by all 10,000 employees. The Codir then used the results to propose an action plan inspired by everyone. A weekly calendar of digital activities was proposed on the following themes: eating, contributing, having fun, helping each other with online codev.
Meaningfull proposition – The health crisis created the opportunity for a genuine cultural transformation. Rather than thinking about meaning and action within the confines of the management hierarchy, digital technology enabled us to scale up consultation to create direct communication between the Excom and ALL employees.
Our commitment – The initiative was very well received, with almost 2 out of 3 employees expressing their views via the platform, with over 28,000 digital contributions and a Codir discovering a new management style.
